Jäsenyys
Uuden ajan alun tutkimuksen verkosto ry:n jäseniksi ovat tervetulleita liittymään kaikki uuden ajan alkua tutkivat, aikakaudesta kiinnostuneet tai siitä opinnäytetöitä valmistelevat henkilöt huolimatta tutkimusalasta tai tutkimuksen maantieteellisestä tai temaattisesta painotuksesta. Verkostoon kuuluu jäseniä muun muassa arkeologian, filosofian, historian, kulttuurintutkimuksen, kielitieteiden, kirjallisuustieteiden, musiikkitieteen, taidehistorian ja teologian aloilta.
Jäsenyyttä haetaan ohessa olevan lomakkeen kautta. Myös ennen toukokuuta 2023 liittyneiden verkoston jäsenten on syytä täyttää uusi lomake. Voit täyttää lomakkeen halutessasi suomeksi tai englanniksi. Yhdistyksen hallitus käsittelee jäsenhakemukset ja ilmoittaa hyväksymisestä hakijoille sähköpostitse.
Yhdistyksen vuosittainen jäsenmaksu on 15 €. Opiskelijoille ja väitöskirjatutkijoille jäsenmaksu on 10 €. Jäsenmaksun maksutiedot annetaan jäseneksi hyväksymisen yhteydessä. Lisätietoa antaa tarvittaessa jäsenvastaava Sebastian Schiavone (sebasts@student.uef.fi)
MIKSI LIITTYÄ VERKOSTON JÄSENEKSI?
Liittymällä Uuden ajan alun tutkimuksen verkoston jäseneksi tuet konkreettisesti uuden ajan alun tutkimusta Suomessa mahdollistamalla verkoston toimintaa, johon kuuluu muun muassa kesäkoulujen ja Tutkimuspäivien järjestäminen, tiedottaminen erilaisista projekteista ja tapahtumista sekä aikakauteen liittyvän tutkimuksen yhteiskunnallisen vaikuttavuuden lisääminen esimerkiksi ottamalla kantaa aiheeseen liittyvään julkiseen keskusteluun.
Jäsenillä on oikeus osallistua yhdistyksen vuosikokouksiin ja olla mukana päättämässä verkoston asioista, kuten yhdistyksen hallituksen kokoonpanosta. Heillä on myös oikeus asettua ehdolle hallitusjäseniksi. Yhdistyksen vuosikokouksen yhteydessä järjestetään usein kiinnostavia, aikakautta käsitteleviä luentoja, joihin jäsenet ovat tervetulleita.
Jäsenet saavat monenlaisia etuja, kuten alennusta kahden vuoden välein eri puolella Suomea järjestettävien Tutkimuspäivien osallistumismaksusta. Jäsenet voivat myös kirjoittaa verkoston verkkojulkaisuun Uuden ajan alun tutkimus (ISSN 2984-5254). Julkaisun tekstit jaetaan verkoston Facebookissa ja X:ssä, joilla on (vuonna 2025) yhteenlaskettuna yli 1500 aikakaudesta kiinnostunutta seuraajaa. Jäsenet voivat myös pyytää tiedotusta omista aikakauteen liittyvistä tapahtumistaan ja projekteistaan verkoston sosiaalisissa medioissa olemalla yhteydessä verkoston tiedottajaan.
🇬🇧Network for Early Modern Research in Finland Association welcomes scholars and students working with the early modern period regardless of their field of study or their geographical and thematic interests. The current members are researchers and students from multiple different fields, including archaeology, philosophy, history, cultural studies, linguistics, literature, music studies, art history, and theology.
Researchers and students can apply for a free membership by the form below. Old members of the Network should also fill out the new form. You can fill out the form in Finnish or English. The board processes the applications and lets the new members know by email.
The association’s membership fee is € 15. The membership fee for students and doctoral researchers is € 10. The payment information for the membership fee is provided upon acceptance as a member. For more information, contact Sebastian Schiavone (sebasts@student.uef.fi)
WHY BECOME A MEMBER?
By becoming a member of the Network for Early Modern Research in Finland, you concretely support research of the early modern period in Finland by enabling the Network’s activities, which include organising Summer Schools and Research Days as well as increasing the societal impact of research related to the era, for example by sharing information and facilitating conversations about various projects and events and taking stand on various related issues in the larger society.
By attending the Association’s annual meetings, the members have the right to participate in the Network’s decision-making, for example selecting the Association’s Board, for which the members also have the right to stand as candidates. Moreover, in connection with the Association’s annual meeting, interesting lectures on the era are often held, to which members are welcome to attend.
Members also receive a wide range of benefits, such as a discount on the participation fee for Research Days held every two years in different parts of Finland. Members can also post on the Network’s blog Uuden ajan alun tutkimus, whose posts will be shared on the Network’s Facebook and X, together having more than 1500 followers interested in the era (in 2024). Upon request, the Network’s social media platforms can be used for sharing information about the members’ own events and projects concerning the era.
